Prevention

What Guides Us

Knowing what works in prevention, and what doesn’t, is vital to keeping kids from developing a life-long substance use disorder and suffering from the consequences of that addiction. MCCMH and our contracted provider agencies in Macomb County implement evidence-based programming and strategies and use the following agencies and resources to guide our work.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)
